The AAG Scientific Conference Committee invites submissions of abstracts for presentation at the 54th AAG Conference.
We welcome abstracts from anyone with an interest in aging, including researchers, educators, aged care and health practitioners, policy makers, students, consumer advocates and other experts who are interested in improving the experience of ageing for older people. Submissions presenting ideas, critical reflections or case studies from practice, policy or the lived experienced are welcomed.
The conference theme: “Innovation in Ageing for the Future”, invites us all to question and redefine how we think and work to open up new ways of approaching the challenges and possibilities of an ageing world. It invites us to explore how we can work differently to improve the experience of ageing through connecting research, policy and practice.
The 2021 conference will be presented in a hybrid format, with both “in person” presentations at the conference venue and selected virtual presentations available to view via the online interface.
Submissions that demonstrate collaboration with end-users or those the work intends to benefit, including but not limited to older people, practitioners and those who work with older people, and policy makers (eg as co-presenters or collaborators) will be highly regarded.
Selected abstracts (including those from outside Australia) will have an opportunity to present at the conference either virtually or in person, subject to Covid-19 government restrictions regarding groups meetings and flights (domestic and international to Australia).
